The Creators of Television Mind
Dick Eastman
Songwriter, Producer, Engineer, Lead
and Background Vocals, Acoustic/Electric Guitars
As a former staff songwriter for MCA Music,
Dick wrote tunes with the legendary Bobby Hart that were recorded by one of the biggest pop bands - The Monkees. Dick has also written songs that have been recorded by such artists as Sugarloaf, The New
Edition, The Ides of March and Robbie Nevil.
These new tunes on Television Mind reveal a literate pop sensibility that
has defined Dick's writing from the beginning.
Bobby Diamond
Producer, Electric and Lead Guitars, Background
Vocals
Bobby Diamond (aka Bobby D) is simply one of the finest
lead guitarists in the city of Chicago. Thousands have marveled at Bobby's intricate guitar work and vocal range
as he has played with diverse artists such as Corky Siegel, Dr. John and Spencer Davis.
Bobby's great grooves, melodic guitar leads and soulful
harmonies add tremendously to Television Mind.
Mike Kroell
Producer, Engineer, Arranger, Keyboards and Synths
Mike started out his musical career as a hardhitting gig drummer, working with various bands
in the Chicago area. He turned his attention to keyboards and composition and has had a number of his songs published. Since
the Fall of 2005, many of his compositions are now being played on The Oprah Winfrey Show!
The tunes on Television Mind are greatly enhanced by his ability to weave
a rich tapestry of symphonic instrumentation and magical percussive sounds.
Dave Leeds
Producer, Engineer, Bass Guitar, Background Vocals
Dave and Dick first played together in a high school
band called the New Statesmen. After all these years, these lifelong friends still share a similar pop vision that is
fully on display in Television Mind.
Dave's Beatlish vocal harmonies, solid bass playing
and a growing interest in engineering add greatly to the mix.
Ron Kaplan
Producer, Engineer, Drums, Percussion
Mentored by drum legend Hal Blaine, Ron played with the original
Cryan' Shames and other Chicago bands, such
as Corky Siegel.
Ron's a veteran of many recording sessions; his solid and inventive
playing lays the foundation and adds texture to many of the tunes on Television Mind. And thanks to modern technology,
his drums were recorded 1000 miles away at Lofty Heights, Ron's studio in Dallas.
